Postbiotics on Vannamei Shrimp (Litopenaeus Vannamei) as Immunostimulant: Application and effect on Immune System and Growth
The Sail Internship program through MSIB at PT. Suri Tani Pemuka was implemented according to the terms of reference. The Company which is active in the aquaculture especifically: The use of immunostimulants as an alternative to antibiotics in tackling bacterial infection. The project entitled, postbiotics for litopenaeus vannamei as immunostimulants: Application and Effects on the immune System and Growth: implementing activies within the chemistry & Microbiology division. Applied microbiology techniques are intended to be honed. Immune Assays Techniques were also applied, lysozyme activity, respitory burst, and prophenoloxidase. The Results of postbiotic applicatiom were studied with growth performance: survival rate (SR), feed conversion Rate (FCR), and increase in weight. As well as general ater quality is routinely measured during in vivo. Postbiotics affect the main cellular immune system of L.vannamei. The Growth paramater was not affected by postbiotics. Some improvement and future research should be conducted to somplement this research.
