Wheat is one of the food sources in Indonesia that has one the highest
consumption rates. With the rise in the consumption rate of wheat in Indonesia over the
past year, the Indonesia’s government has to increase its import activity on wheat to
maintain its supply. This can also cause most of Indonesian society to have high
dependency towards the consumption of wheat. However, currently the government has
supported increasing the utilization of locally sourced grains such as sorghum as one of
their alternative food sources. This caused us to be motivated to develop a company called
RnA Indonesia, which is a food manufacturing company that produces various types of
snacks with an aim to increase the diversity of snacking in Indonesia by developing a
diverse range of snack products by utilizing various ingredients that are unique and still
rarely used in Indonesia. RnA Indonesia was founded on 31st July 2023 and started to
operate on the 8th of November 2023. Currently, RnA Indonesia has launched its first
product called Sorghum Brownies Chips with 2 flavor variants, which are Choco-Palm and
Choco-Matcha. For the Choco-Palm, it is sold at Rp 10,000/unit, while for the
Choco-Matcha was sold at Rp 11,500/unit.
RnA Indonesia currently aims for individuals that are at the age of 19-23 years old
that loves snaking and also seeks innovative and unique flavor experiences. Most of RnA
Indonesia products are sold through direct messages, selling around the Indonesia
International Institute for Life Sciences (I3L), and participation in several bazaar events.
Currently, most of our promotional activities come from Instagram as our main social
media platform.
Most of RnA Indonesia’s operational activities are performed at Indonesia
International Institute for Life Sciences (I3L) area, and with a goal to have its own official
office and production place in 2025. RnA Indonesia is also shown to be an investable
company in the future, since it provides a high return on investment and internal rate of
return.
