Nutraceuticals : a review

The term "nutraceutical" was coined "nutrition" and "pharmaceutical" in 1989 by Stephen DeFelice. Drugs shows various side effects and adverse effects due to which consumers are generally move to take food supplements to improve health. Such products may range from isolated nutrients, dietary supplements and diets to genetically engineered "designer" foods, herbal products and processed foods such as cereal, soups and beverages.
